Yes true friendships can definitely happen online and relationships too, but with a 'relationship' which is more than just a friendship, I do believe the people have to eventually meet in person otherwise it will never be a 'full' relationship. But certainly it definitely can begin and go on for a while online

It can depend on the person. I have a good friend in NZ that I met on DA, and we've been talking for years about everyone and everything. :D He's even met my mum via webcam (and she thought he was very nice). So it's possible, methinks, but it depends on the person and the ages of the parties involved. Now as far as a relationship.... mehh... that's tricky and I'd rather stay out of that pool. :paranoid:

Awesomeness! 8D
Yep, I've got a lot of awesome friends via the Interwebz too (like yerself :poke: ) . And indeed, a relationship via the Nets can be a bit questionable ._. Not to mention potentially dangerous... unless the potential gf/bf can meet offline. :)

I have a varied opinion on this. :O_o:

Yeah, I think friendships can definitely exist if you've never met the person in RL. I have loads of awesome friends on the net (*poinks you too* 8D), but I'm 50/50 when it comes to online relationships.

A friend of mine in RL has a boyfriend of 3 years whom she met on the net; and she still hasn't spoken to him face to face... or even heard his voice. To me, I'd find that difficult. There's no physical contact, which I think is important - I'm not just talking naughtyness here, I mean like hugs, kisses and just generally spending time with each other. You can't enjoy each other's company if your other half isn't... there.

A relationship can definitely begin online, but I don't think it can last if both sides have no intention to meet up in the future.

I WROTE AN ESSAY THAR. :la::heart:

Even meeting offline can be dangerous sometimes. :XD: Sorry, my mum's made me paranoid.

I'd at least take a friend or two with me and meet somewhere public. :D
